SmartSafe Africa launches Transport Safety Grading

In celebrating October as Transport Month, SmartSafe Africa has developed a safety grading system for Transport Operators falling under the National Road Traffic Act.

The program, originally developed by a well-known corporate insurer back in the 90’s, have been revamped and changed into a grading system.

Fleet operators and companies with a larger pool of company vehicles can now benefit from this program, aptly called DriveSafe.

SmartSafe announced its plans to launch the program during Transport Month this year following the promulgation of the AARTO Act in August. The program is set to cover the road transport sector in the categories of Freight, Passenger and Hazardous Goods.
